Okay so I live giordanos pizza it's great but there service at this location is not acceptable. I have tried giving them multiple chances and each time my order is messed up. I call and ask what happened and they always say it was my fault and don't take responsibility for the mess up. It's so unprofessional to blame the customer when they are the ones talking to me on the phone and cooking the food. One day I called to order some lunch just after 1pm and no one even answered the phone. So I tried back 15 min later and still nothing. I wish they would have someone employees that would step up and make this location like the others.

Called to order a deep dish for pick up. They told us it would be ready for pick up in 45-50 minutes. I was there 50 minutes after we ordered. They told me it would be 3 more minutes. I sat in the corner for at least 10 minutes before the girl told me it would be another 15 minutes. 20 min after that it was finally ready. When I asked if this was normal to tell people 45 min when it is really going to be over 90 min, she just stared at me blankly. when we asked about a discount (on the $40 pizza we ordered) for the inconvenience, again she stared blankly. I asked why they didn't tell us it would be longer she replied, "one of the cooks didn't show". I've worked in the restaurant business, I understand these things happen, but if they would have told me it was going to be longer on the phone, it would have been OK. I would have rather gone to jewel and gotten a frozen Gino's East pizza - and it would have been faster!!! I will NEVER order pizza from here again. Over priced and bad customer service.

Pizza In A Pinch Let me start off by saying that I do like Giordano's Pizza. It can be hit or miss at this location at times. Mostly hits than misses. We will order their pizza for pick up or delivered to our home from this Giordano's. I do like Giordano's pizza stuffed or thin so we will typically go with a stuffed spinach and onion which is one of my favorite non meat pizzas or a thin sausage pizza. My wife prefers the pepperoni thin crust. On the whole, the pizza is very good but on occasion it can be overdone and somewhat dried out. On those occasions the crust is pretty difficult to eat and because I do like a good crust that takes away from the experience. This is another place if we are in a pinch or just can't think of what to eat for the night. When we order delivery they always deliver within the time that they stated which is always good because we are usually pretty hungry by that time.

Stop blaming "new cook" or "oven issues" when you are 30 minutes beyond the stated pick up time. Food was marginal to ok except for the fact that I had 1 pizza done 30 minutes prior to my second one. Stop belittling customers with "you can have a free 2 liter of Pepsi for the delay" only after I stated how absurd the wait was. Some people actually do not drink Soda or think that a 2 liter for the trouble is close to worth it... when it's getting late and one has three young kids and home. Long story short.... not worth the trouble.

Its expensive and mediocre. Dined in. Ordered Three cheese garlic bread, Chicago chopped salad and some BBQ wings. (Cheese bread) First order of cheese bread was burnt. It was so burnt the end pieces were charred black completely. It had a black burnt crown around the entire half loaf of french bread, which was rather small for the price. There was also next to no cheese on it, at all. A smidgen at most. It was hands down the most pathetic cheese bread attempt i've ever seen. Essentially it was a $8 piece of burnt toast. I mean.... how hard is it to put cheese on bread and melt it?!?! I thought perhaps it was so overcooked the cheese just burnt and dried up. I immediately brought it back up to the counter and asked for another, which they obliged and was no big deal. Came right out. This time is was cooked right but still had at most a tablespoon of shredded cheese on the whole loaf(not a exaggeration). I wish i'd taken a picture. It was so pitiful. I was in a hurry and didn't want to make another fuss. So I accepted it. The marinara sauce is very bland. It was completed unseasoned tomato sauce out of a can. Maybe 2 specs of herbs in the whole side of sauce(not a joke). Chicago chopped salad Chopped salad I didn't try, looked good though. My companion liked it. Part of the chopped salad is pasta noodles mixed in with the lettuce, which they were all out of. My companions favorite part of that salad is the noodles. Out of pasta noodles....in a italian restaurant!?!? Lololo. Judging from the two attempts at cheese-bread they were running out of cheese as well. They offered to go heavy on a different topping instead. We choose bacon. It came out, but didn't look like extra bacon but o'well.... The BBQ wings These were great. Id order these again if I were ever going back to this place, but im not. Had a nice sweet honey BBQ sauce and that good kind of crunchy skin. Almost liked they were fried(not sure if they are or not) but were really good. This and only this is why I give it 2 stars. But I've had wings like this in many places, including making them at home. Its very easy to make. So its not a reason to comeback. After dinner I came on here to write a review and noticed many others commenting on how much they like to burn their crust. Its a theme of theirs. Sounds like theres probably a 90% chance anything u get here will be burnt. Change their slogan to Giordano's "Home of the burnt crust and skimpy cheese topping" or Home of the "if we have it in stock". Either their pizza cook has no clue what he/she is doing or their oven is broken. You've been warned!

This place is terrible, gave them a few tries and the crust was undercooked every time.

If I could give it a ZERO I WOULD. It was horrible. From beginning to end this was a flipping mess. We went here and they had good customer service. But let me tell you the food was under cook and the pizza was flavorless. We asked for extra sausage and there wasn't sausage on every bite. We asked for extra cheese there wasn't that either. The crust was over cooked but the pizza wasn't done all the way. What the heck kind of crap is that... I was 100% disappointed please go to Lou Malnati's instead. You're wasting your money going here.

Horrible. Ordered had it delivered, they delivered the pizza but forgot the salad and gave me two 2 liters of regular Pepsi when I ordered two 2 liters of diet. Ok I call ask for the manager tell him what is missing item by item. an hour later the salad is delivered but no diet Pepsi. The driver begins arguing with me saying " I brought you Pepsi" but he didn't bring what I had asked so he says give me back the Pepsi and keeps arguing with me but I still don't have the diet Pepsi. I call the manager again then an hour later another delivery man comes with 2 20 oz bottles of Pepsi not the 2 2 liters of Pepsi I ordered. The manager was an idiot, the girl answering the phone was a complete moron and I'm never ordering from that location. Ever again. The manager thought he was being so king by giving me 15 dollars credit. Ruined my family's meal, should have refunded all of my money. Would give 0 if possible.

I purchased a stuffed pizza for carry out and when I got home liquid drained from the box all over my car seat. When I brought the pizza inside and opened it, there were puddles of water all over the top of the pizza and the bottom "crust" was doughy. That wasn't the problem, mistakes happen... It was the service that I received when I called that was disappointing. I simply called to let them know what happened and the manager was horrible. I told him what the pizza looked like and he asked what I wanted to do. I simply said that I would like to bring the pizza back ans exchange it for a new one. He then said that I must not have ever had stuffed pizza, we've ordered there for over three years, and that I would just get the same thing. I told him I would like to still do it and he declined. I then said that I didn't know why he was acting so poorly but that if he wasn't going to resolve the issue he would lose a great customer. He said that was fine... They just lost a customer!?!

Don't ever go here. Giordano's has a good recipe, but the people here don't know how to follow it, nor so they care about the customer. I ordered a meat meat and more meat pizza and it came with a burnt crust, but the ingredients were completely undercooked. Look at the picture of the bacon that I posted. It was floppy and chewy... Very undercooked... very disgusting. Of course, the delivery guy was already gone with my $40, so I had to call in my complaint. They guy who answered said I was lying when I said the food was undercooked and he said that nobody has complained in the 20 years he has worked there and I was wrong. These people are terrible and don't give a rip about the customer. Don't give them your money. If you want Giordano's pizza that badly, go to Lake Zurich or Gurnee. If you want a great pizza in Fox Lake, go to Moretti's. Their macaroni and cheese pizza is to die for!

Trust me - that's an honest rating. I realize this is not the downtown Chicago "experience" but this location didn't even try. It is mostly a carry out store with a few tables inside for eating in. I didn't expect anything else for a branch. I've been to downtown Chicago but didn't have the chance to try Giordano's so I at least figured the food would be similar and I could find out what all the rave reviews were talking about. I walked in and looked over the menu. I decided on the Fettuccini Torino with shrimp. I should mention that this girl at the counter could not have been less interested in providing a friendly experience if she was Janeane Garofalo stuck working her first "restaurant" gig. Shortly after ordering she informed me they were out of shrimp and would I like chicken instead. I declined the chicken and asked them to just put the sauce on the pasta. I figured a place like this would have pretty incredible marinara sauce. I find it disappointing that either the cooks didn't know they were out of shrimp until 6:30pm or if they did, they didn't tell the person taking all the orders up front. Miss Personality did not even offer to refund some or all of my money, offer a desert, or any other compensation. Then my food came out - the pasta and bread. I asked about my salad since it hadn't come out yet. She returned a few minutes later with a small dry wilted salad and my Caesar in a plastic side cup. I had some salad and then started on the pasta. It was very dry and didn't have near enough sauce on it. Considering it was already missing shrimp, they could have put a little more effort in making the remaining pasta and sauce very good. Not even close. Everything here was disappointing. I don't know if this was a franchise or corporate store but I will never give any Giordano's my money again.

I ordered online for delivery. Worked out great. You can make your pizza exactly how you want it. I ordered plain cheese deep dish. They call it stuffed, but it is the same. It was really good. The cheese was the perfect amount and the crust wasn't too thick. I would order from there again.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
